Healthy Weight Loss Advice: A Few Recommendations

I just created a “lens” on the Squidoo.com website.

In my lens (their name for one person’s view on a topic), I discuss why diets don’t work and make specific recommendations about healthy weigh loss plans I have found to be effective - INCLUDING, of course, the Metamorphic Weight Loss program.

I even recommend a few books that have passed the “test of weight loss time” that I think you will also enjoy.

All Natural Weight Loss Plan: Is Colon Cleansing Effective?

From a strictly medical and scientific perspective the whole idea of “colon cleansing” is utter nonsense as an all natural .

According to best practices in medical science, effective is accomplished with a combination of a high fiber diet and good hydration.

Unfortunately, however, our society doesn’t practice good colon health.

In fact, poor colon health has been linked to the following conditions, not to mention colon cancer and other diseases:

  1. Constipation Parasite Infection Diarrhea Diverticulitis Candida Age Spots
  2. Dull Skin Tone Fatigue Diverticulosis Flatulence Eczema Acne Poor Digestion
  3. Bad Breath Weight Gain IBS Bloating Indigestion Lower Back Pain Ache

The colon’s primary function is to eliminate waste from your body. Theoretically, inefficient waste elimination may result in the build up of decaying sediment within the colon resulting in an increase of toxins and preventing the effective absorption of nutrients.

It’s been estimated that as much as 4 – 5 pounds of decaying food may be in your intestines. If you could remove this excess weight from your lower abdomen, you would look and feel better.

A good cleansing program may be just the trick.

The good colon cleanser is comprised of a blend of herbal ingredients designed to loosen, soften, and eliminate colon sediment, excess water, and improve the function of the colon.

A warning…

Make certain you drink plenty of water as most colon cleansers have a diuretic effect, meaning they eliminate water. This effect could result in dehydration. It is therefore recommended that you drink plenty of water when using a colon cleanser.

Secondly, your colon normally eliminates waste material and bacteria and absorbs water and sodium to maintain your body’s fluid and electrolyte balance. Some colon-cleansing programs disrupt this balance and can be harmful by causing dehydration and salt depletion.

IT WOULD BE ADVISABLE TO CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE USING ANY COLON CLEANING PRODUCT.
