Weight Loss Diet Program: Jump Start Your Metabolism (Part 1)

A good should provide a formula to jump start your metabolism. Your metabolism is the way your body converts food to energy. To take full advantage of your metabolism, the metabolic jump start formula is simply:

Metabolic Consumption > Calorie Consumption

This simply means that the energy put into the body (the food you eat) must be less than energy used by the body (the conversion of food to energy).

This book outlines the three different metabolic types (Protein Type, Carbohydrate Type, Mixed Type) and how each type requires different proportions of food in order to maximize your metabolic potential. The ideas presented may explain why once you stop dieting your metabolism almost always ensures rapid weight gain, which is the underlying factor for why dieting fails 95% of the time. The book also suggests that by repeatedly losing and regaining weight, you’re encouraging your body to become very efficient at making and storing fat.
