Healthy Weight Loss Program: Managing Stess

Many of the top s mention the importance of stress management in achieving long term weight loss success. You may be very familiar with the effects of in your life. The purpose of the next couple of blogs is to provide you some information on stress and how to deal with it better.

Stress has become part of the modern lifestyle. Stress has plenty of its own ill effects, some of which are described on this and other websites.

But, stress can also make healthy lifestyle efforts more difficult. While some people find that their appetite decreases when stressed, many others use food to provide relief or distraction during stressful times. Are you a chocoholic or do you have cravings for sweets or other carbohydrates?

Stress also diverts energy and attention from behaviors such as eating a healthy diet, completing your personal goals, and exercising regularly. What is stress keeping you from accomplishing?

Finally, stress can be a high-risk situation for overeating and inactivity. So, stress management is an important part of a long-term plan for a healthy lifestyle.
